THE WALL THAT HEALS
MANNING, IA | JULY 23-26, 2026
Honoring the more than 3 million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Vietnam War, The Wall That Heals, which is 375 feet in length and bears the names of the 58,281 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam, is transported from community to community via a 53-foot trailer. When parked, the trailer opens up to showcase a variety of exhibits, allowing it to serve as a mobile education center that tells the story of the Vietnam War.
The free exhibit will be open to the public 24 hours a day from July 23-July 26 at the IKM-Manning School 209 10th Street, Manning IA 51455.

Touring Wall Replica & Mobile Education Center
Since its debut in 1996, The Wall That Heals has served as a powerful traveling tribute, bringing a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and a mobile Education Center to nearly 800 communities across the United States. By transporting the memorial to local neighborhoods, the exhibit offers a supportive environment for veterans and their families to honor the fallen and find the courage to begin the healing process in familiar surroundings. Following a successful 2025 season that reached nearly 200,000 visitors, this significant display is now scheduled to visit the City of Manning to continue its mission of education and remembrance.
