This is a free exhibit will be open to the public 24 hours a day from July 23, 2026 through July 26, 2026 at the IKM-Manning School, which is located at 209 10th Street, Manning IA 51455. Closes Sunday, July 26 at 2 pm.

TUESDAY, JULY 21–ESCORT:  The Wall That Heals will be escorted into town and is expected to arrive mid-afternoon.    

WEDNESDAY, JULY 22–SET UP:  Exhibit set up starts at 8:30 a.m. and will go all day.  Anyone is welcome to help.  The opportunity to carry a panel of a loved one is also available.  

WEDNESDAY, JULY 22–6:00 P.M.:  Volunteer Training for anyone volunteering the rest of the week.  Wall is officially open immediately after training and will be open 24 hours/day until Sunday at 2:00

THURSDAY, JULY 23–TOURS:  Guided tours are available at 9:00, 10:30, 12:00, and 1:30.  Sign up in advance by calling 712-655-2176

THURSDAY, JULY 23–WELCOME HOME CEREMONY:  6:00 P.M.:  This main ceremony will feature music, bagpipes, a rose-laying ceremony, and key note speaker who was a helicopter pilot during the war.   

FRIDAY, JULY 24–TOURS:  Guided tours are available at 9:00, 10:30, 12:00, 1:30, and 5:00.  Sign up in advance by calling 712-655-2176

FRIDAY, JULY 24–CANDLE VIGIL AT DUSK:  To honor victims of PTSD and Agent Orange, a ceremony will take place at dusk (estimated around 9:30 p.m.) where participants will light candles to honor those effected and the wall will be lit in orange.

SATURDAY, JULY 25–TOURS:  Guided tours are available at 9:00, 10:30, 12:00, 1:30, AND 5:00.  Sign up in advance by calling 712-655-2176

SATURDAY, JULY 25–TAPS:  To be played at sunset

SUNDAY, JULY 26–CLOSING CEREMONY: 1:45 P.M.:  There will be a short thank-you ceremony at 1:45 and then the wall will be dismantled and prepared for travel to the next host.
