Volunteers Needed
Numerous volunteers will be needed to help at the event site during its stay in the city of Manning in order to help direct visitors and answer any questions they may have.
If you are interested in volunteering during this event, please use the link below to find more information about each volunteer position and to sign up.
Volunteer training will take place on Wednesday, July 22 at 6:00pm. Attendance is strongly encouraged.
Volunteer Details
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time. All volunteers must be prepared for weather conditions.
Assist Visitors at The Wall
Greet and assist visitors with finding names, viewing photos, name rubbings. Listen and provide support when needed.
Mobile Education Center Volunteer
Talk about items, In Memory Honorees and Hometown Heroes.
Visitor Tent
(Only Seated Volunteer Position)
Finding names on website or name directory. Monitor trifold inventory. Answer visitor questions to best of ability.
Direct Visitors (floater)
Greet and assist visitors with information. Direct to The Wall, Trailer, Visitor Tent. Assist if they need help with mobility. Help assist with the Manning Visitor booth (shop, dine, etc). Fill in other positions as needed.
Parking and Visitor Assistance:
Direct parking. Visitor assistance with transportation to and from The Wall That Heals (golf cart, wheelchair, etc).
